2016 World Junior Championships - Wednesday Doubles Results

There were only a few doubles matches Wednesday at the 28th International Racquetball Federation (IRF) World Junior Racquetball Championships in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. In the Girl’s U18 division, the USA team of Erika Manilla and Jordan Cooperrider are in the driver’s seat, as they have won all three of their matches with three more to come. They beat the Mexican team of Mariel Morales and Erin Rivera (Mexico), 15-6, 15-4, Wednesday.

The Girl’s U18 Doubles division is playing a double round robin format, so each team is playing the other teams twice. As Manilla and Cooperrider have defeated the other three teams in two straight games, one would have to think that the gold is theirs to lose. The Guatemala team of Gabriela Martinez and Andrea Martinez are in 2nd place at 2-1 after they defeated Bolivians Brenda Laime and Flavia Meneses, 15-11, 15-0.

Look for live streaming of matches from San Luis Potosi via the IRF YouTube channel.
