Shane Vanderson won the West Michigan Open on the weekend in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He defeated Mike Green in the final, 4-11, 11-5, 11-5, 11-9. The tournament was a Tier 4 event on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT).
In the semi-finals, Vanderson took out Brian Simpson, 11-9, 11-7, 11-5, while Green beat Cliff Swain, 11-5, 9-11, 11-8, 11-5.
